Order Taking Too Long To Process!

How long will a order be on pending for? my customers need to receive their orders. in on pending for over 7 days now? it has to be faster. why does it takes so long? please dont mention that you process in 2-3 days if you are gonna give wrong info and take over 1 week to process.
