Q1: Why does a product page show stock, but say out of stock when l order?

Shanny: This can happen for a few reasons. Here's what's going on and what to do:

• Stock comes from suppliers and isn't real-time — CJ works with thousands of suppliers, and their stock can't update in real time. So the stock shown may already be sold out before you order.

• The variant is sold out but the main product still shows stock — The "in stock" figure is the product's total stock, but a specific variant (color, size) may be sold out.
  👉 Tip: Before ordering, check that the exact SKU you picked is still available, not just the main product status.
• Many people order at once — CJ is a shared-inventory platform, so several sellers may buy the same item at the same time, and stock can be taken by another order just as you check out.

Q2: Is CJ stock synced in real time? How often does it update?

Shanny: Stock in CJ's own warehouses updates in real time. The system automatically syncs quantities as items are received, shipped, and picked, so you always see the latest CJ warehouse stock.

For supplier stock (products not yet in a CJ warehouse), real-time syncing isn't possible because CJ works with hundreds of thousands of suppliers. The system pulls stock data from suppliers periodically, and how often depends on each supplier's system and data stability.
